Are you passionate about building a sustainable future? Join our team as a Batcher in Charge and take ownership of the day-to-day operations across two local concrete plants.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will work largely independently, managing plant operations, batching activities, customer service and site presentation. This is an autonomous role suited to someone who takes pride in running their site. You will work predominately at Pittsworth Concrete Plant but may need to work across 2 sites. A company ute will be provided for travel between sites as required.

This is a full-time position, with overtime when required. Standard hours 6:00am to 2:00pm, plus Saturday mornings as required.

 

Your day will involve:

  • Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs
  • Undertake all essential day-to-day administration of the Concrete Batch Plant
  • Batching of the correct concrete mix and allocating trucks to ensure the smooth operation for Concrete and our customers
  • General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance, along with the safe operation of a front-end loader
  • Working independently to ensure safe, efficient and reliable site operations

 

What are we looking for?

  • A strong commitment to safety, the environment and delivering excellent customer service
  • Sound computer literacy with the ability to complete daily plant administration tasks
  • Front-end loader ticket and experience highly regarded (training can be provided)
  • Current forklift licence desirable
  • Current White Card and First Aid certification required
  • Reliable, dependable and ability to work autonomously and confidently manage a site on your own
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant batching and/or concrete industry experience is desirable
  • A positive attitude and commitment to contributing to a motivated team environment
