We are seeking a dedicated Rail Operations Manager to lead our rail operations in Sydney and the Southern Highlands. This key role focuses on the seamless supply, delivery, and distribution of quarry products, ensuring that our rail terminal network operates efficiently and meets the diverse needs of our internal and external customers.

Your day will involve: 

• Oversee daily rail operations for efficient transport of goods
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Optimise train scheduling, routing, and loading processes
• Manage logistics and supply chain to meet delivery requirements
• Monitor operational performance through key performance indicators
• Develop and manage the operational budget, implementing cost-control measures
• Lead and mentor rail operations staff, fostering a collaborative environment
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align objectives
• Address customer concerns and resolve service-related issues
• Utilise technology and software for operational planning and reporting
• Maintain communication with oversight groups to ensure we follow all regulations

What are we looking for? 

• Quarry or mining operations experience 
• Leadership and Management skills
• Strong people management and communication skills 
• Computer literate
