Your next opportunity
This is a chance to do real employee relations work, not administer it. You will advise leaders across our operational businesses on live matters: investigations, disputes, performance conversations and EA interpretation. You will report to the Head of Business Partnering and learn alongside senior practitioners who have been doing this work for years.
The brief is broad for an advisor role. Alongside the day to day advice, you will run parts of our annual P&C cycle and contribute to projects across leadership, diversity, engagement and industrial relations.
Now is a good time to join us. We are a market leader with prized assets and a solid, vertically integrated business, and we are partway through a real journey of improvement and change. You will help our leaders build a safe, engaged, diverse and inclusive workplace, and a culture where our people do their best work.
Your day will involve:
- Advising leaders on disciplinary matters, and guiding investigations from start to finish
- Interpreting EAs and Awards for leaders and employees, and making the answer easy to act on
- Coaching leaders through difficult conversations so they can handle the next one themselves
- Responding to complaints and disputes, and resolving them well
- Facilitating annual cycle activities across Performance and Reward, IR, and Talent and Capability
- Turning our P&C annual plans into practical action on the ground
- Supporting our P&C Business Partners with reporting, analysis and project work.
What are we looking for?
- Employee relations experience, including supporting leaders through disciplinary and performance management processes
- Exposure to a large, multi-site industrial business, ideally with EA-covered workforces
- Experience contributing to P&C projects
- The confidence to lead a challenging people conversation, and the curiosity to keep improving how you do it
- An autonomous and accountable work ethic, a growth mindset and a collaborative approach
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
What’s on offer?
- An attractive salary package, including a short term incentive
- Ongoing mentoring and guidance from experienced P&C leaders and subject matter experts
- Generous paid parental leave entitlements
- The opportunity to purchase additional leave
- Novated leasing and a range of corporate discounts
- A role with an Australian owned and operated market leader, committed to Zero Harm and to driving sustainable outcomes.
