Case Manager will provide case management services to Pepperdine University students, especially those being served by the Title IX Coordinator and the Student Care Team. Serve as a Christian role model to students. With this support, students can fulfill the University's mission and be strengthened for lives of purpose, service, and leadership.

Duties

  • Participate in Student Care Team, Title IX meetings, and other collaborative efforts. 
  • Interface with faculty, staff, and parents regarding students needing treatment plans, accommodations, or leaves. 
  • Document case management, maintain data, and provide reports regarding students receiving case management services. Intake-manage and assess incoming calls and referrals to SCT and Title IX. 
  • Facilitate RiSE Together Chapel series for first-year students weekly (for the duration of the course in the fall and spring terms), serve on the Residential Emergency Response Team, and serve as Critical Support Personnel in Student Affairs. 
  • Provide case management services for students served by the Title IX Coordinator and the Student Care Team. Will serve as a resource to other campus departments as needed. Engage in research to inform case management best practices. Travel as needed to support students in crisis. Participate in Student Affairs initiatives. 
  • Manage crisis situations and provide crisis intervention.
  • Identify and develop relationships and referral procedures with off-campus providers. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: Master's degree in social work, mental health, or other relevant field. Two years of work experience requiring case management or care coordination responsibilities. Strong ability to collaborate and work independently while keeping appropriate senior staff and the SCT informed. Stellar organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to keep meticulous case records. Ability to work well with college students, including those in distress. Capacity to manage under high-pressure situations. Knowledge of college student development challenges and strategies to support their well-being. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. General office software use, including all Google Suite applications.

Preferred: A licensed social worker or another mental health professional. Three years of case management experience in a hospital setting or higher education. Demonstrated case management skills (assessment, coordinated care planning, service linkage, program development, outreach, and training facilitation skills). Ability to recognize and maintain healthy professional boundaries among students and colleagues. Microsoft Office, SCT database use, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and the ability to navigate social media platforms.

This is a Restricted, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.

Expected Pay Range: $25.96 - $28.84 per hour 

The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
