About the role
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for low-code SaaS applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and high-quality standards across all testing activities.
You will be responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction as outlined in Service Level Agreements and for identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, working closely with the development team to resolve issues. A key focus will be driving the automation of repetitive testing tasks using advanced tools and frameworks, while continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Additionally, you will establish and enforce best practices and standards for test automation to ensure a consistent and effective approach to testing.
Responsibilities
Test Planning and Execution
- Lead the creation and execution of detailed test plans, cases, and scripts for low-code SaaS applications
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Implement strategies for automated testing to enhance efficiency and coverage
- Oversee the full testing lifecycle from planning through execution and reporting
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
- Serve as a liaison between the testing team and other departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication
- Lead cross-functional teams, managing timelines and deliverables
Defect Management
- Identify, document, and track defects, working with developers to resolve issues
- Support the resolution of production issues and ensure smooth application operations
Automation
- Drive the automation of repetitive testing tasks using advanced tools and frameworks
- Develop and execute system tests to ensure application quality and functionality
- Evaluate and integrate new test automation tools and technologies
- Lead the development of custom test automation frameworks and tools
Continuous Improvement
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing and low-code development
- Lead initiatives to adopt new testing methodologies and tools
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for process improvement
The experience we are looking for
- Extensive software testing experience, including 1+ years in a senior/lead role
- ISTQB certified with strong experience in Agile development
- Expertise in low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, Mendix, Microsoft Power Apps) and SaaS applications
- In-depth knowledge of low-code development environments and their testing requirements
- Proficient in test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, RestAssured) and frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, TestNG)
- Skilled in identifying root causes of defects and optimising testing strategies
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage and deliver large-scale test automation projects
