The role
The System Test Development engineering team, part of the Engineering Assurance Group, is tasked with developing and maintaining applications used to validate GPU cores in development and the related software deliverables (the System Test Plan). They also analyse the results of running the test suites and act as mediators in efforts to fix detected issues. As part of the team, you will be working with some of the newest compute and graphics technologies, including Real Time Raytracing, Variable Rate Shading and Mesh Shaders.
You will:
- Design and implement applications used to validate hardware in development and graphics drivers.
- Investigate the results of test suite runs and communicate with other teams to resolve any discovered issues.
- Collaborate with the System Test Architect, HW and SW engineers to derive an optimized System Test Plan
- Create and maintain internal documentation for the team’s applications and procedures.

You'll have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field
- Strong C/C++ coding skills
- Experience with any of the modern graphics APIs such as OpenGL, Vulkan or DirectX
- Shader programming experience on modern GPUs
- Ability to work constructively as part of a larger team
- Extensive analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills
You might also have:
- Good high level design skills including usage of programming patterns and desktop and/or mobile application design knowledge
- Strong mathematical skills particularly in non-decimal based numerical systems
- Basic knowledge of RESTful software stack in .NET Core (C#, Entity Framework Core, MySQL) and scripting languages such as Python
- Familiarity of hardware design validation
- Knowledge of ISO standards relevant to embedded systems e.g. ISO 29119, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, etc.
