About the Role
As Executive Assistant, you will provide essential coordination and administration support to the ED Consumer Energy Division, who is responsible for the development and delivery of a broad portfolio, including energy policy development, the Government’s energy social support payments, the Home Energy Saver Program (HESP), transport electrification programs and initiatives – including EV infrastructure – and programs to improve household energy efficiency.
The role provides additional coordination and communication support within the Division’s Executive Director unit, including the delivery of specific ED special projects to enhance coordination and support, while also navigating complex stakeholder engagement – including with representatives of the public, industry and other jurisdictions.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and events, preparing agendas and tracking the progress of projects and actions. You’ll also support the broader Division by maintaining efficient administrative processes and information management systems, ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.
This role goes beyond traditional EA duties, involving support for operational projects, drafting and distributing internal communications, and coordinating engagement activities that ensure collaboration across the Department. A key part of your work will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders, managing sensitive issues with discretion, and helping identify priorities for the Executive Director to ensure business-critical matters are addressed in a timely manner. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will be instrumental in keeping the Division running smoothly and supporting a positive and connected workplace culture.
About You
Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with strong executive support experience within Government, preferably with direct prior EA experience with a senior executive within a large Government entity.
You’re a proactive and highly organised professional with proven experience supporting senior executives. You’re confident managing complex calendars, handling sensitive information, and liaising with a range of stakeholders. With strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, you’re comfortable juggling competing priorities, streamlining admin processes, and driving tasks through to completion. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative to keep things running smoothly.
