JOB SUMMARY:
An analytical role with experience in financial analysis, data visualization development, and P&L oversight. This position will support the Event Sales team at Universal Orlando Resort by analyzing financial performance to inform decision-making, improve profitability, and drive business growth. Responsibilities include identifying cost efficiencies, tracking event-level performance, and conducting in-depth strategic evaluations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop financial analysis to support business needs including labor/cost efficiencies and event level performance tracking while actively leading and participating in strategic discussions with Sales Leadership.
- Produce and manage Profit/Loss statements and financial reports to communicate key insights on business performance.
- Develop KPIs and data driven automation to support further growth of business processes.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree: Finance or Accounting, Business or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years’ experience in finance and/or analytics.
- Experience in querying relational database systems and writing code in Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Expert knowledge in Excel including complex formulas and charts.
- Experience in accounting/budgeting software (SAP/BPC).
- Presentational and professional speaking skills to communicate closely with Executive level management including Directors and Vice Presidents.
- Knowledge in Data Visualization (PowerBI) a plus.
