JOB SUMMARY:
Supports supervisor and other Legal team members with: (i) performing legal research on various topics including, but not limited to, alcoholic beverage laws, state and federal aviation laws, gift card laws, and other issues as required; (ii) manages in-house knowledge database, (iii) reviews contracts and other documents to prepare summaries and tracked obligations checklists, (iv) contract drafting and review; and (v) administrative tasks such as contract life cycle management and scheduling. May function as the primary liaison between business units and the attorneys with respect to certain form agreements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts legal research as required by supervisor (including topics such as alcoholic beverages, state and federal aviation, gift cards, etc.) for the purpose of supporting both existing businesses and new businesses as they are developed and opened.
- Maintains obligation tracking software for contracts and operational licenses; maintains internal knowledge database to track legal research across multiple jurisdictions.
- Reviews contracts after they are signed for the purpose of preparing summaries and tracked obligations checklists. Manages tracked obligations and follows up on tasks to ensure they are completed.
- Supports discrete business areas by drafting and reviewing boilerplate agreements including non-disclosure agreements, scopes of work, food & beverage master purchase agreements, concessionaire agreements, leases, etc.; routes contracts for approvals execution.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Associate’s degree (AA) is required - Paralegal Certificate (Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university acceptable in lieu of a Paralegal Certificate).
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred - B.A. in Legal Studies or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years corporate legal or law firm experience required; 3-5 years preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Must be able to work in a high-paced environment handling multiple tasks at the same time; and must maintain confidentiality of projects, legal and business information at all times.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
