JOB SUMMARY:

Develops and implements work planning procedures and continuous process improvements. Ensures ongoing success of planning and scheduling through job plan management, proper CMMS configuration, process auditing/monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Promotes data integrity through regular audits of job plans and work orders, and coordination of user training and support. Serves as an active participant in the Maximo change management process.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors, maintains, and promotes data integrity in the CMMS/Maximo through routine and non-routine audits, user training, and technical support.
  • Leads continuous improvement in generation, standardization, and timely completion of work orders, including preventive maintenance work orders, troubleshooting and providing technical support as necessary.
  • Ensures that work requests meet established standards for accuracy and clarity, clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper charge number (if applicable), proper authorization, and discusses details with originator of the work order.
  • Creates, modifies, and audits job plans in the CMMS/Maximo according to the established procedure and ensures that all tools, materials, labor, and safety requirements are clearly and accurately identified.
  • Communicates effectively with management through the Maximo change management process to reduce or remove systemic barriers to timely work completion, including but not limited to parts availability, excessive lead times, specialist labor needs, and excessive emergent work.
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative duties and gathers other information as directed by management.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

Responsible for developing and implementing work planning procedures and process improvements. Directly supports ongoing success of planning and scheduling efforts to improve timeliness, efficiency, quality, reliability, and safety.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED is required
  • Technical school is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years’ experience in technical maintenance: Required
  • 5 years of experience with Maximo or another enterprise CMMS: Preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • The individual must have a strong understanding of planning and scheduling best practices and should have a basic knowledge of ISO9000 requirements
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office- Word and Excel
  • Must also have experience with an industrial-quality CMMS system, preferably Maximo, and how it relates to work planning and scheduling
  • Must have the ability to 1) read and interpret English-language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, 2) updating reports and maintenance procedures, and 3) effectively present information in one-on-one setting.
  • The individual must be familiar with maintenance reliability concepts.
