Role Description:
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Marketing & Engagement and the Associate Director, Programs & Partnerships, the photographer is responsible for engaging in outreach to students, faculty and staff to increase awareness of Campus Recreation programming and services in support of our mission; primarily through high-quality photography content. “With our students’ well being as our top priority, we are here to guide them down their individualized path to wellness.”

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture professional and creative images aligned with the mission and brand of the Department of Athletics, Community and Campus Recreation.
- Attend events and programs, and schedule photo shoots. Events/programs include but are not limited to: Club Sports, Intramural Sports, Group Fitness, CrossFit, Rock Wall, tabling events, Welcome Days, etc.
- Collaborate with the Ambassadors to promote all Campus Recreation programming and services.
- Drive engagement and contribute to the growth of the Campus Recreation community.
- Assist in the development of the social media calendar on a weekly basis.
- Offer creative ideas to assist in campus outreach efforts.
- Understand Delaware Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation brand standards and styling guide.
- Attend weekly meetings with supervisors and other ambassadors.
Requirements:
- Examples of past work/portfolio examples, i.e. graphic design, social media content, video work must be submitted with your application in order to be considered for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work well independently and in groups
- Reliable and organized
- Active user of social media (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
- Experience playing or participating in Campus Recreation programming and services, i.e. fitness, intramurals, club sports, rock wall, etc.
- Will require 8-10 hours per week.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and/or Canva.
- A thorough understanding of the importance of “Little Bob Way”.
