About the department / center:
First established by Disaster Research Center co-founder Enrico Quarantelli, the E. L. Quarantelli Resource Collection is one of a very small number of disaster and emergency management-focused research collections in the United States. The collection includes books and other published materials, rare and otherwise hard-to-find disaster reports and reference materials, archival holdings comprised of historic disaster research data, and a small collection of disaster-related objects. The Center also maintains its own book, monograph, and report series, and these materials are available through the collection as well.
Role Description:
The E.L. Quarantelli Resource Collection at the Disaster Research Center seeks a student worker to assist with digitization and reorganization of collection materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with digitization and reorganization of collection materials.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Prior research, library/archives, and/or data management experience preferred
- Interest in disasters and disaster research preferred
- Must be a University of Delaware undergraduate student in good standing
Hiring Timeline:
