Role Description:

The Student Media Aide provides superior customer service to students, staff, guests and visitors to the Student Media Office. Responsibilities include filing office reports (meeting minutes), handling radio station mail, creating printed and computerized music and transmitter logs for daily station operations, managing event and Public Service Announcement calendars, some basic digital studio production work, invoicing and mailing premiums for the annual Radiothon fundraiser, and more. 

Additional responsibilities include ensuring that fundraising donations are properly entered into the proper database while maintaining confidential information or records, as well as other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Create Daily printed and online audio logs for both radio stations at WVUD

• Basic audio editing and uploading of select pre-recorded programs

• Managing online Public Service Calendar

• Type up weekly meeting minutes

• Assist with mail processing

• Assist with annual fundraiser (prepare mailings, invoices, and premium packaging)

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Superior customer service skills and willingness to learn.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful.

• Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing with a diverse population.

• Punctuality, reliability, and dependability.

• Ability to work independently on projects.

• Interest in working in a fun and rewarding environment.

• Training is provided on all tasks that are to be completed.
