Schedule:

Monday – Thursday. Hours to be determined; programs will be held during the common hour on campus between 12:00 – 1:00.

Location: UD Georgetown campus, Jason Tech Building: University of Delaware Academic Center 115-A

Reporting to the Associate in Arts Program Student Support and Engagement Coordinator, this position provides support and fosters engagement initiatives for students enrolled in the University of Delaware Associate in Arts Program located in Georgetown, Delaware. This role focuses on promoting a dynamic campus environment by coordinating and leading programs, collaborating with various departments within the Division of Student Life, and providing activities for social programming.

About the department/center

The UD Division of Student Life offers a comprehensive range of student support services to help Blue Hens succeed academically, personally and socially.

Some of our work includes supporting students' transitions to UD, securing accommodations for students with disabilities, assisting students as they manage conflict and complex issues and supporting student athletes and veteran and military-connected students. We are dedicated to providing students with the assistance needed to thrive during their time on campus.

Role Description:

  • Collaborate with the Associate in Arts Program Student Support and Engagement Coordinator to determine upcoming programs that should be held on campus.
  • Partner with offices and community entities to create an engaging social experience.
  • Assist in developing diverse engagement opportunities to enhance the student experience for students at the Associate in Arts Program campus in Georgetown.
  • Set up and cleanup programs held at the UD Georgetown campus.
  • Responsible for keeping an inventory of program items on campus and reaching out to the Associate in Arts Program Student Support and Engagement Coordinator to ensure items are available and on campus for upcoming programs.
  • Create a monthly social program to engage with students.
  • Identify areas of opportunity in programming on campus.
  • Requests room reservations and AAP calendar requests for upcoming programs.
  • Assists with the monthly AAP Student Life newsletter.
  • Utilizes Canva to create fliers for upcoming events.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current University of Delaware Associate in Arts Program student at the UD Georgetown campus.
  • Commitment to and knowledge of multicultural, diversity, LGBTQ+, equity, and access issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Applicants must be undergraduate students at the University of Delaware Georgetown campus. Work study eligibility can be found here. Applicants who are not enrolled as undergraduate students at the University will not be considered for this position. Employment Limitations and Exceptions

Hiring Timeline:

The search committee plans to accept applications until September 12, 2025. The hiring manager will conduct interviews with selected candidates via Zoom on September 19, 2025. The chosen candidate will receive an offer during the week of September 22, 2025. Students will begin the onboarding process with a tentative start date of October 20, 2025.
