About the department / center:
The department supports campus-wide facilities operations, including project planning, maintenance coordination, and infrastructure improvements. The team works collaboratively to manage both routine and emergency projects that support the University’s physical environment.

Role Description:
The department is seeking a responsible, motivated undergraduate or graduate student to serve as a Student Assistant Project Intern for the summer. This role provides hands-on experience supporting project coordination, planning, and tracking for both standard and emergency (ER) projects. The intern will gain exposure to project management systems, including CMMS and the University outage notification system, while developing skills in monitoring project scope, risks, and budgets and building confidence communicating with leadership and diverse stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:
Communication & Coordination: Assist with communication across teams using email, Team Sites, and the UD outage notification system; coordinate with internal stakeholders to support project updates.
Project Planning & Tracking: Support scheduling, tracking progress, and monitoring project scope, risks, and budgets.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, updates, and reports within project management systems.
Quality Management: Assist in reviewing project work for completeness and alignment with requirements.

Qualifications:
• Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student; open to any major with an interest in project management or project management systems.
• Verbal and written communication skills, with customer service experience desirable.
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools preferred.
