Schedule:  Day – Mondays-Fridays, Weekends Hour’s vary – will work around student’s academic schedule.

Well-known in Newark, Clayton Hall Conference Center is one of the largest Delaware venues on one of the oldest university campuses in the nation. UD Conference & Event Services has been hosting meetings and events for local and national clients for more than 30 years.

Role Description:

The Setup Crew members arrange conference rooms to client specifications including tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, etc.  Through events, this position is available to address changing needs as to furnishings and equipment and provide other customer service as needed (hanging banners, setting up food prep areas, etc.)  This position is responsible for events in Clayton Hall Conference Center and the Audion at STAR Tower.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Moves conference furnishings into meeting spaces and set up to client specifications.
  • Cleans and clears spaces of all un-needed furnishings between use.
  • Assists clients in the setup of conference materials/accoutrements (banners, flags, easels, water-coolers, etc.)
  • Work with the AV Specialist to set up screens, projectors, microphones, and podiums as needed in meeting spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible work schedules and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted are the primary requirements for this position.
  • Courteous manners and ability to work with people of varied backgrounds are a must. 
  • Customer service experience and a positive attitude a plus.
