Role Description:
The Library, Museums and Press, Collections and Resource Sharing Department, is seeking, responsible, motivated undergraduate students. Search for and retrieve library materials from the Morris, Chemistry and Physics Library stacks. Scan articles and book chapters out of bound journals and books. Prepare and pack books for shipment and unpack incoming items. Deliver filled book carts to the Library mail room and the Collections Sharing and Delivery Office. Create shipping labels and help maintain a database of address records in the department’s shipping software. Prepare items for placement on Help Desk hold shelf. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform detailed and accurate work in a fast paced office environment
- Customer service skills preferred
- Experience with Library of Congress call number system preferred
- Familiarity with flatbed and overhead scanning equipment preferred
