Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing (SON) invites applicants who are dynamic clinicians and educators for a full-time12-month clinical track faculty  position. The successful candidate will be a doctoral-prepared Adult-Gerontology  Primary Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) who will primarily teach in the SON’s AGPCNP program. The candidate will have experience as an academic nurse educator. Previous online teaching experience with nurse practitioner students is preferred. The candidate may also support the SON’s other masters and doctoral programs, as well as the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

This is a full-time, 12-month clinical track faculty position within the School of Nursing.

The School of Nursing serves a total of 1100 graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty and staff work with colleagues in our Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and all schools across campus to create innovative interprofessional educational experiences that prepare students for today's health care challenges. The Center is located at our North Haven, CT campus and encompasses 325,000 square feet designed for collaborative learning including 48 pro-section stations, 16 standardized patient rooms, an exceptional health sciences library, 7 high-fidelity simulation rooms including 2 ORs and a PACU, health assessment and skills labs, advanced diagnostic imaging equipment and classrooms outfitted with the latest technology. As one of 15 schools in the nation with holistically endorsed programs, we emphasize the social, emotional, spiritual, and psychological aspects of care, as well as the physical, throughout our nursing curriculum.

We offer traditional and accelerated second degree programs at the baccalaureate level. At the graduate level, our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) prepares baccalaureate graduates to become nurse practitioners specializing in adult-gerontology or families; an online MSN prepares RNs for careers in mid-level management and includes quality improvement, fiscal management, human resources, and informatics. Our post-master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) online programs are designed for nurses seeking advanced leadership skills or specialized population-based care.
