Responsibilities: |
- Presidential Public Service Fellows are placed in a Hamden or North Haven Town government department in a fulltime professional service capacity.
- Work Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday from May 26 to July 25
- Fellows would also need to be available for one evening weekly educational meeting and seminar.
- Skills: Professional research and analysis abilities
- Ability to engage in discussion with members of the general public.

Qualifications: |
- All undergraduate students in any major are invited to apply (students graduating in May are not eligible)
- Must be able to commit to work for 9 weeks in summer
- Expectation of strong interpersonal skills
- Expectation of strong written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to community service and public service
- Ability to interact professionally with the public
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
- 3.0 gpa, academic and behavioral good standing.
- Students from any major may apply.
- Students may not combine this job with any other fulltime job or coursework that would interfere with complete commitment to the job.
