Organize, prepare, and execute “Wellness Wednesday” on-ground, virtual education newsletter and passive promotional messaging according to the planned curriculum
Execute the educational components identified by the mental health grant, JED initiatives and Wellness Ecosystem model
Work with Graduate Student Council to develop wellness-related events for the North Haven campus
Work collaboratively with departments and student organizations to develop trainings and events to respond to salient wellness needs (for example, health education, student health, mental health, sexual violence prevention, alcohol, and other drug prevention, hazing prevention)
Work with graduate assistants in campus life to create programming that infuses ongoing events with wellness-related messages using the wellness ecosystem model
Collaborate with JED Campus Team to organize and carry out Strategic plan. Specific responsibilities will be delegated by JED Campus Team Leaders.
Communicate with HHC and facilities to reserve campus space for Wellness related events and activities.
Provide accurate relevant updates and information to Jamie Deloma to be included in the monthly Parents’ Newsletter, in a timely manner.
Assist in Wellness related resource creation and management, including but not limited to presentations, emails, videos, and digital media.
Other Responsibilities
Meet with necessary departments/staff to execute /identify programs and goals
Attend scheduled meetings with the Health and Wellness team and Division of Student Affairs
Meet with the Health, Wellness, & Accessibility Senator from Student Government Association to support efforts and initiatives
Support University wide events such as Open Houses, Health Fair, Orientation, etc.
Assist with any trainings/workshops for other campus offices including not limited to: Campus Life, Athletics, and DCGE
Optional opportunities for training and professional development as they arise
Qualifications:
Good interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be a graduate student in good standing currently enrolled in coursework at Quinnipiac University
Prior experience facilitating or teaching
Background or interest in public health, social work, or community health education is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
Ability to maintain confidentiality when required
Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
Ability to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and to exhibit a positive, helpful attitude
Hours of Position:
Up to 20 hours week which may include evenings/weekends within a hybrid model which includes on-ground and virtual work
