Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Admissions Assistant. This position will perform staff assistance and clerical duties required to support the activities of Graduate Admissions.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and update an accurate computer assisted information file for prospective students and applicants for graduate admissions
Perform daily integration of data between Slate and Colleague using appropriate University software. Address errors and confirm/adjust application creation.
Maintain records of current year graduate admissions applications. Review transcripts and other official documents for authenticity. Prepare completed application files for department review. Record admission decisions. Coordinate preparation of decision notifications.
Prepare records of matriculating students for transfer to permanent record/Registrar.
Keep open communications with the directors and assist with prospective students interested in graduate study and the transition of dual degree students.
Manage multiple queries for record updates and to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency in processing. Queries include update of applicant files with additional materials, GPA and other key applicant credential updates, program changes, deferral requests and facilitating admission and deposit updates.
Import electronic transcripts, update applicant records and distribute transcripts to other admissions offices as needed. Compile records and forward advanced standing and transfer credit requests to colleagues for evaluation. Record credit allowances.
Track Deposits for enrollment and Notify OneStop of deposits.
Assist with prospect and applicant record review and consolidation.
Serve as back-up liaison with DSO for international students.
Assist in the day-to-day office management of graduate admissions student workers and graduate assistants.
Prepare acceptance, denial, referral letters and other applicant correspondence.
Answer phones, direct calls and relay information within the scope of knowledge and authority.
Prepare reports as required by the director, associate, and assistant directors.
Review incoming mail for distribution/action including handling graduate admissions email account(s).
Assist in office routines including greeting visitors and support during admission events. (possibility of evening and weekends)
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required

Ease in utilizing a variety of computer programs to complete work - Colleague, Slate, Excel
Ability to collaborate with colleagues on shared work
Ability to lift 5-10 lbs
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
