Student Employment: Sustainability Intern in Mount Carmel - Hamden, CT
Quinnipiac University is seeking to hire two sustainability interns for the 2025-2026 academic year. Incumbents will work under the supervision of the Quinnipiac Sustainability Implementation Committee (QSIC) and Sustainability Fellow, Gillian Sawyer, to implement initial steps for Quinnipiac University’s sustainability plan. Responsibilities may include: gathering baseline data recording current practices, uses, and materials streams related to campus sustainability; researching sustainability efforts at other universities; supporting the establishment of the sustainability certification (STARS) at Quinnipiac; working with the Director of the Center for Research and Scholarship to pursue external grants; production of content for the QU sustainability website landing page. Most work can be performed remotely with minimal in-person responsibilities. Interns are expected to attend remote weekly meetings.
