Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Assessment and Student Development, the Student Development Programs SA will assist with the following programs:
• Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Ambassador Program
• CSUF NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP)
• Panetta Congressional Internship
• CSUF Student Fee Committees
With support of the supervisor, the SA will gain an understanding of division level work, university policies/processes, curriculum development, programmatic planning and facilitation, and assessment.
• 70% - Student Development Programs: Assist with recruitment, application, and selection process; implement program curriculum; develop and plan for program events; and collaborate with on and off campus partners. Support supervisor with coordinating assessment of student development and program outcomes; mentorship of students; following a budget; and coordinating travel/conference arrangements. Attend regional and/or national conferences.
• 30% - Student Fee Programs: Understand student fee policy and executive orders; collect and organize quarterly reports and presentations; assist with planning of meetings; prepare meeting materials; support meetings; and co-facilitate training of committee members.

• 10% - As assigned: Assessment/data analysis and assist with division events.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Required Qualifications

• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
