he Department of Pathobiological Sciences (PBS) makes significant contributions to the School of Veterinary Medicine through its research and teaching programs for professional, graduate, and undergraduate students. Research programs in PBS place a major focus on infectious diseases caused by bacteria, parasites, and viruses and immunity to these infectious agents. Faculty publish their research results in many scientific journals and books, and the excellence of this work has been recognized locally, nationally, and internationally for more than 30 years. |

Qualifications: |
Interest in virology laboratory techniques and learning the daily workings and maintenance of a research laboratory. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: |
Background in biology, molecular biology, virology, good attention to detail, willingness to learn. |
Position Summary/Job Duties: |
Cleaning glassware, making chemical solutions, maintaining stock solutions, stocking supplies, filling tips, autoclaving disposables, and general lab cleanup. It should be noted that this is not a formal research position, although several skills learned through this position can be transferred to research roles. |
