The Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic+ teaches more than a dozen languages, and our courses and programs explore cultures and literature from across the globe. This is a student hourly position, and will mainly report to the Media Designer for the Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic+. |

Schedule: |
A set weekly schedule, to be determined based on student's availability and departmental needs. Shift lengths of at least 2 hours are preferred. Overall schedule is negotiable but common hour distributions would be two 4-hour shifts and one 2-hour shift a week, or two 3-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift a week. |

Qualifications: |
Candidates need to possess strong attention to detail, comfort with technology, and customer service and communication skills. Prior work experience in an office setting is a plus, but not required. Applicants must be currently enrolled undergraduate students. GNS+ majors preferred but all undergraduate students that meet other qualifications are welcome to apply. This position is directly supervised by the GNS+ Media Designer, and a good attitude with a mind for teamwork and cooperation is essential, as well as the ability to work independently with effective time management. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are both important for this role. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: |
Preference for a student with an interest in graphic design, communications, marketing, or media studies. Coursework in these areas is not required. |
Position Summary/Job Duties: |
An enthusiastic undergraduate student hourly sought to support the Media Designer and the rest of the administrative staff. This position will be split between media and administrative duties for the department as needed. It is expected that roughly 75% of the time will be spent on media duties, with the remaining 25% on administrative duties. |
Physical Demands: |
Ability to lift and carry small to medium-sized boxes, up to 20lbs. |
