We currently have a limited number of permanent full time Kindergarten Teacher opportunities. These roles for 2025 may be providing above ratio support to our kindergarten teams or backfilling our Nominated Supervisors and Educational Leaders. 2026 and beyond may offer alternative placement opportunities.
A bit about the role
City of Casey offers three-year-old and four-year-old sessional kindergarten programs in all of our kindergartens. Our mission is to ensure local children have access to high quality kindergarten programs.
Our kindergarten teams have a strong culture of support, encouraging staff to take up professional development opportunities throughout the year, and to collaborate closely to improve and adapt practices and approaches in line with children’s evolving needs.
We offer a 10-weeks leave model, so school holidays are paid time off.
What you’ll deliver
- Plan, deliver and lead inclusive, innovative and respectful kindergarten programs that provide high-quality outcomes for all children and families.
- Lead a team of passionate early childhood educators to deliver exceptional educational programs and support educators to contribute to the planning and implementation of the educational program.
As a Kindergarten Teacher, you may be required to work at any of the kindergartens managed by the City of Casey.
What you’ll bring
- An approved Early Childhood Teaching Qualification as recognised under the National Quality Framework by ACECQA
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration as an Early Childhood Teacher
- Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certified
- Current Victorian Driver’s License to travel to various kindergartens within City of Casey
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History, Working with Children, Eligibility to Work in Australia and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
- Availability to attend an in-person group interview on Tuesday the 1st of July
