A bit about the role
We're looking for a dynamic and strategic thinker to lead the delivery of endorsed service review recommendations. Through a facilitative approach and strong stakeholder relations, you will embed improvements that help shape the future of Council’s externally facing community services and programs.
In this role, you'll drive meaningful change by managing projects that improve service quality, efficiency, and sustainability. You'll work closely with teams across the organisation, providing expert guidance and using proven methodologies in project, contract, and change management.

What you’ll deliver
- Implementation of approved service review recommendations using established project, contract, change, and engagement management methods.
- Develop detailed project plans to deliver agreed outcomes on time, within scope, budget, and quality, accounting for internal and external dependencies.
- Develop and maintain key project documentation, including monthly project status reports, budgets and monitoring risks with appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Support the Service Planning and Review Team to deliver Strategic Service Plans and Services Reviews
- Partner with outcome owners, service owners, project sponsors and other key stakeholders across the business and provide expert guidance driven by research and analysis to inform Council services.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in project management, service model review and/or financial analysis highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, service planning, service design, implementation and evaluation.
- Experience in, change management and engagement methodologies within a community service environment.
- Demonstrated experience in applying best practice and continuous improvement methodologies.
- An ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, whilst managing competing priorities and timelines to deliver on agreed outcomes.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Understanding of the economic, political, and social issues related to the local government environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
