A bit about the role
Join the vibrant team at Myuna Farm as an Education Support Officer and immerse yourself in a dynamic role that blends education, customer service, and hands-on farm activities.
In this position, you'll engage with visitors of all ages, delivering engaging farm-based education programs that highlight sustainable farming practices. Your responsibilities will include leading group excursions, supervising animal interactions, assisting with administrative tasks, and supporting the operational needs of the facility.

What you’ll deliver
- Provide a high level of customer service to make visitors feel welcomed and encourage return visits.
- Supervise visitor excursions and provide genuine leadership in a pro-active and compassionate manner.
- Provide excellence in customer service when delivering education programs, train / pony rides and supervising animal interactions.
- Support Myuna Farm general office operations with regard to administrative tasks, program schedules, counter sales, telephone enquiries, function appointments, point of sale reports & operation.
- Preparation, setup and pack up of the venue for group excursions, programs and/or functions. Communicate with relevant staff in relation to allocation of resources.
- Assist the Manager and Coordinator with the supervision of community workers (CW) under the Community Correctional Services (CCS) Community Work Program at the site and other similar placements.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in education and or animal related fields is valued but not essential.
- Experience in education teaching primary school children is valued but not essential. Skills and knowledge needed for entry to this Band are beyond those already acquired through secondary education alone.
- Computer skills including MS Office suite
- Customer service experience
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset
