A bit about the role
This is a new opportunity to be part of the Kindergarten team and contribute to the effective administration of finance and kindergarten operations, ensuring streamlined processes and responsive support that enhances service delivery.
This is a limited tenure position to 22 September 2026.
What you’ll deliver
- Ensure the timely processing of new purchase order requests and invoices for kindergarten Programs.
- Execute petty cash float allocations and process petty cash payments
- Investigate and reconcile back orders and clear non-processing entries.
- Provide accurate advice, support and training to kindergarten educators and other staff
- Communicate with external companies in relation to purchase orders and invoices to maintain positive partnerships.
- Monitor and track spending within the Council managed kindergartens with relation to School Readiness spending.
- Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders to support purchasing requirements
What you’ll bring
- Experience in finance payment processing
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
- Strong attention to detail while working at a fast pace during peak periods
- Collaborative and customer focussed approach
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check
