Community Facilities Officer

The City of Casey is one of Victoria’s largest and one of the fastest growing and most diverse cities. 

Our Community Facilities Team in the Northwest facilitate all bookings, administration and operational tasks for 8 facilities, including Lynbrook Community Centre and various family and community centres with one public hall.  

The Community Facilities Officer will work across various centres throughout the Northwest of Casey so there is a requirement to be able to travel between a variety of centres.

A bit about the role

This position offers a wide variety of tasks in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. You are the first point of contact for the many visitors and hirers, handling inquiries in person, over the phone and via email. You also manage room bookings, conduct inductions and support the delivery of programs across the facilities.

This role would suit a person who likes to engage with the community whilst being able to manage a busy workload proactively and autonomously. 

What you’ll deliver

  • Manage bookings and administrative systems for hireable spaces.
  • Respond to customer requests and provide community information.
  • Ensure availability of resources and equipment at Community Facilities
  • Maintain cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Identify new approaches and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments.
  • Assist in delivering programs and activities for the community.
  • Promote Casey's values through leadership and example.

  • Driver’s license to travel between various facilities in Casey’s Northwest
