A bit about the role 

As the Lead Creative Producer, you will research, design, and implement an innovative year-round program of free and ticketed events that reflect and engage all community sectors. Working closely with the Head of Performing Arts Programming, you will lead a team to produce high-quality activations that balance commercial and community access.

Your role involves managing contracts, budgets, and event approvals, ensuring safe and sustainable delivery.

You will also foster partnerships with artists and arts organisations to present new creative work, enhancing the reputation of Bunjil Place and the City of Casey.

  • Develop and deliver a program that fosters creativity and community connection.
  • Attract local and regional visitors through engaging activities.
  • Generate social and financial returns on investment.
  • Collaborate with artists and arts organisations to develop new creative work.
  • Ensure safe and high-quality event delivery through effective management.

What you’ll bring

  • Educational Background: Tertiary qualification in performing arts or equivalent, or substantial experience in lieu of formal qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Extensive experience in a similar role, specifically in delivering performing arts programming for diverse arts venues.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding and expertise in various aspects of arts programming and managing arts venues.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
