A bit about the role

As a Senior Projects and Operations Officer, you will provide comprehensive project and operational support to the City Design and Construction Department.

This role involves coordinating project schedules, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth asset handovers, while also tracking and reporting on project progress to senior leadership.

What you’ll deliver 

  • Monitor and report on project progress: Track, evaluate, and provide monthly updates on the status of all projects within the City Design and Construction Infrastructure portfolio using Altus.
  • Summarise project data: Use Altus dashboards to consolidate project information and present concise updates to senior leadership.
  • Manage digital resources: Oversee SharePoint sites and services for the City Design and Construction teams, including maintaining the project library and documentation.
  • Support project managers: Assist Project Managers in assessing and submitting scope and schedule changes to the Change Request Board when necessary.
  • Coordinate asset transitions: Work with Project Managers to ensure smooth handovers of assets upon project completion.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in contract, construction and project management
  • Exceptional knowledge of IT systems including mobile work systems, project management systems, customer request and document management systems.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check,
