A bit about the role

Lead technical operations and supervision for events and productions, ensuring all stages meet safety, quality, and operational standards while supporting internal and external clients.

Coordinate and manage technical teams, documentation, and reporting, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on event requirements.

What you’ll deliver

  • Lead technical supervision during events, acting as the main contact for clients and staff, and participating in hands-on operations including lighting, sound, fly systems, and staging.
  • Oversee event delivery and team performance, guiding Production Officers and resolving technical issues to ensure alignment with venue standards and safety protocols.
  • Manage event documentation and reporting, including show reports, incident logs, shift summaries, and asset monitoring.
  • Support administrative functions, such as rostering, event coordination, calendar management, and communication with the Coordinator Production.
  • Report and escalate safety concerns, client feedback, and operational risks in line with OH&S policies and procedures.

 What you’ll bring 

  • Relevant arts-related degree or diploma with substantial experience, or higher/lower qualifications supported by appropriate event booking experience.
  • Proven experience in venue and event administration, with strong operational and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Momentus/Ungerboeck or similar event management systems is highly desirable.
  • Technical certifications such as rigging, dogging, EWP operation, and working at heights are advantageous.
  • Experience with MA3 and dLive consoles, Crestron, and Q-SYS systems is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required; experience with venue scheduling systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
