A bit about the role
This role involves providing expert assessments and advice, managing workflows, engaging with stakeholders, ensuring service level attainment, and driving continuous improvement.
The position plays a key role in shaping infrastructure outcomes that enhance community wellbeing, liveability, and sustainable growth.
What you’ll deliver
- Conduct engineering assessments for town planning, subdivision, and building proposals.
- Provide expert review of Engineering Plans, Environmental Management Plans, Street Lighting Plans, and traffic, drainage, and subdivision referrals.
- Collaborate with the Development Services team to manage daily work priorities and meet objectives.
- Respond promptly to development engineering enquiries and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Advise and support senior staff and team members on development engineering matters.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks, and resolve issues effectively.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed standards.
What you’ll bring
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Positive attitude with a proactive and solution-focused approach
- Strong technical knowledge relevant to civil engineering practices and standards
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and engage with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks, including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and Eligibility to Work Check
- Curious, collaborative, and inclusive mindset, contributing positively to a team-oriented and community-focused environment
