A bit about the role
The Infrastructure Permits Officer is part of the Infrastructure Permits and Compliance team and plays a key role in protecting Council’s infrastructure assets. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage permit workflows, bond administration and compliance. Providing a high standard of technical support and advice, you will educate and empower developers, builders and customers on asset consent responsibilities and associated legislation.
What you’ll deliver
- Prepare, manage and distribute correspondence including permits, reports, briefing notes, agendas and minutes.
- Develop and review administrative systems and workflows to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure customer requests are handled in an efficient, knowledgeable, confidential and timely manner.
- Process and reconcile payments received for permits or bonds as well as infringement and warning notices.
- Promote and ensure Council’s Service Standards are met.
What you’ll bring
- Completion of secondary education plus
- a degree or diploma with some relevant work experience; or
- lesser qualifications with relevant work skills; or
- relevant experience and work skills commensurate with the requirements of the position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check , Eligibility to Work check & medical functional test.
