About the Role
This role provides strategic leadership to build sector capability, foster collaboration, and drive shared solutions that respond to the evolving needs of residents.
What You’ll deliver
- Lead and deliver the CSO Growth and Attraction Framework (2024–2027) to build sector capability, strengthen collaboration and improve access to services for Casey residents.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community service organisations, funders and internal Council teams to drive shared outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice and insight to inform Council planning, policy development and decision‑making on community needs and priorities.
- Advocate for funding, resources and investment, including preparing grant applications, business cases and project initiatives aligned with Council strategies.
- Lead collaborative forums and initiatives (including the Casey Futures Partnership) to inspire cross‑sector leadership and collective action.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience building and leading strategic partnerships across community, government and not‑for‑profit sectors to achieve shared outcomes
- Relevant qualification in health, social sciences, community development or a related field.
- Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the ability to translate community needs and sector insights into practical initiatives, advice and solutions
- Well‑developed project and program delivery skills, including experience preparing business cases, grant applications and funding submissions
- Deep understanding of community service and not‑for‑profit sector challenges, trends and opportunities, with a solutions‑focused mindset
- Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills, enabling you to influence, collaborate and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio).
