About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity to drive strategic oversight and governance of project-related financial activities, manage a high-performing team delivering expert financial to support decision making, and foster strong partnerships to deliver customer-focused financial advice.
What You’ll deliver
- Ensure strategic alignment between capital investment programs and developer contribution funding to optimise infrastructure delivery
- Establish and maintain enterprise financial governance frameworks
- Lead continuous improvement of project financial decision‑making processes to strengthen financial discipline, transparency and compliance
- Provide oversight to ensure complete, accurate and reliable financial reporting for all project‑related activities
- Provide independent, evidence‑based financial analysis and assurance to internal project
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including Growth and Investment team and relevant project committees
- Lead organisational capability uplift by providing training, guidance and OneCouncil support
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Experience supporting capital works programs, infrastructure projects, or project-based financial activities
- Significant senior‑level experience leading complex financial or project accounting functions in a large organisation.
- Proven leadership capability, including coaching and developing others
- Demonstrated highly developed internal and external stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in financial governance, compliance, and audit processes, and sound judgement and professionalism in decision-making.
- Experience in ERP Finance systems, exposure to Data Analytics, Technology One Finance system experience including XL one reporting will be highly regarded.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
