Band 7 salary range from $112,203 to $125,554 plus super (subject to experience) and monthly RDO for full time 40 hour weeks

A bit about the role
This role leads the Visitor Liaison and Security team at Bunjil Place, delivering a customer‑first, concierge‑led service model where safety is achieved through positive engagement, visibility and professionalism.
You will provide leadership across three core priorities:

Safety through first contact welcoming and preventative engagement

Precinct safety, emergency preparedness and compliance
-
Governance, training and capability uplift across customer service and security
What you’ll deliver
-
Leadership and Team Management: Lead a highly visible, values driven first point of contact team that champions a welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe precinct where visitors feel supported, informed and confident

Resource Planning and Allocation: Plan and allocate team resources according to event schedules and precinct use patterns, ensuring appropriate coverage for all activities.

Customer Engagement and Service: Champion a welcoming, inclusive precinct, support diverse and culturally safe customer engagement, and collaborate across departments for seamless service delivery.

Training and Development: Oversee training in compliance, access and inclusion, de-escalation techniques, and child-safe practices, and lead team performance reviews and professional development.

Safety and Emergency Management: Act as Chief Warden, lead incident and emergency response, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and maintain comprehensive incident reporting and risk assessments.
What you’ll bring
Qualifications: Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management, postgraduate qualifications, or equivalent experience.

Leadership Experience: in customer facing, security, venue, arts, events or community environments

Community Engagement: Experience working with diverse communities

Communication Skills: Strong communication and conflict resolution through de-escalation skills.)

Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check and Functional Assessment (Physio/Medical Examination).
