Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Rates Support Officer (Part Time) to join the Rates team for 1 day a week starting after January 2025 (commencement in February 2025 preferable). 

You will be trained on the job to provide accurate and efficient delivery of:

• Land information certificate processing
• Processing rate account amendments for additional optional waste services or removal of the service
• Generating amended notices
• Answering general ratepayer account queries, by phone and email predominantly

You will report directly to the Coordinator Rates and Valuations and work collaboratively with the team.

This will be for a minimum secondment period of 12 months based at our Civic Centre, working from the office.

This is a Band 4 classified role, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

• A demonstrated understanding of rates and charges in a local government setting
• Experience in using the Pathway Software – especially in key areas such as customer service requests, rating and property information and land information certificates
• Demonstrated experience working in a large computerised organization in a customer service focused role
• An ability and willingness to multi-skill in conjunction with other team members
