About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer to join us in the Facilities Team on a short term basis for 7 weeks to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the team in delivering quality maintenance programs, construction and rehabilitation projects and associated building services management for Council's vast array of buildings. 

As our new Administration Officer, you will make a difference daily by providing general administrative support across the Facilities team.

Key responsibilities will include the triaging of phone calls and maintenance works for our Facilities Officers to action, the processing of Graffiti Removal program schedules and work orders, monitoring of a shared Facilities inbox, processing of utilities bills, minuting of meetings and database management.

You will report to Coordinator Facilities and work collaboratively with the Facilities team, the broader Major Projects and Facilities department and other key stakeholders both within and outside of Council.  

This is a full-time temporary role based predominantly at the Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 4 classified role. Remuneration will be $71,212.94 to $75,849.47 gross per annum (depending on experience), plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Advanced skills in the application of Microsoft Office and associated products, with the ability to learn other software applications. 
  • Sound data entry and database management skills. 
  • Self -motivated, with the ability to work both autonomously without supervision and collaboratively within a team environment
