Organisational Development Officer

We are looking for a proactive and organised Organisational Development Officer to join our People, Culture & Development (PCD) team. Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, this role plays a key part in delivering strategic organisational development (OD) projects, with a strong focus on timely project execution supported by effective stakeholder collaboration and process improvement initiatives.
Key projects and responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of the Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP)
- Coordinating and contributing to events including the STAR Awards and staff engagement surveys
- Maintaining the Volunteer database and liaising with volunteers and volunteer manager
- Implementing student placement programs
- Developing project documentation, utilising data, reports, toolkits and templates
- Conducting project evaluations to inform future improvements
This is a full-time permanent role based at the Civic Centre located in Wantirna South.
We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353 to $107,416 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Proven experience supporting and coordinating projects, including planning, risk and time management
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams and with a variety of stakeholders
- A continuous improvement approach to processes, tools, and service delivery
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with digital systems and databases
- A commitment to Council’s values and to working in an integrated, innovative and collaborative way
- Prepare required organisational or project reporting by gathering, analysing, and summarising relevant information
- A qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources or Project Management with experience in a project coordination or support role, ideally within HR, learning or organisational development.
