About the Opportunity

This role provides critical information in the form of analysis and reporting on portfolio and project level health and progress, including financial management and benefits realisation which will be compiled for governance bodies and council stakeholders. The role will liaise with internal customers to ensure portfolio and project level reporting is accurate and timely. The role has one Portfolio Analyst direct report.  

This is a full or part time temporary role for 12 months based at our Civic Centre and we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.

This is a Band 8 classified role, remuneration will be $122,052.72 - $137,037.50 (pro-rata part time) (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee. 

What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Proven track record of running a Portfolio Management Office or completing programs of work on time and on budget using disciplined planning skills and mastery of project management techniques and processes.
  • Critical skills including program and project health reporting, decision making, influencing and a high level of financial acumen.
  • The skills to provide strategic oversight to enable the monitoring of interdependencies across the portfolio of projects.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication aptitude is essential.
  • Strong collaboration and relational skills with a successful track record of developing consulting staff capabilities with a demonstrated commitment to respect for the individual and integrity in relationships and communications.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing analysis and hypothesis-driven problem-solving.
  • The aptitude to develop meaningful reports and data driven insights and dashboards.
