Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for a team member to join Council’s Parks maintenance team. If you love the outdoors and have an eye for detail, then this is the role for you. 

  • The collection of rubbish to improve presentation and amenity value of open space areas and designated shopping centres.
  • To provide excellent service to all external and internal customers.
  • To undertake proper operation and maintenance of machinery and plant.
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislative standards.
  • Assist other Parks Service’s and Operation’s team members as required and participate in rotation amongst Parks activities to address demand in workloads.
  • Maintain accurate daily work records utilising paper based, computerised and online systems.

Some weekend/public holiday works may be required.

This is a full-time permanent role based at our Operations Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.

This is a Band 2 classified role, remuneration will be $61,965.00 - $63,518.00 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. You will also receive industry and dead animal allowance.

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • An ability to provide excellent customer service to resolve minor operational problems.
  • Be physically fit and capable of lifting loads on a regular basis.
  • Personal values and behaviours aligned to those of Knox City Council.
  • Able to work as part of a self-managing team member ensuring safe work practices and methods are followed.
