Casual Early Childhood Educators – Diploma and Certificate III

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Early Years Hubs Team as Casual Early Childhood Educators in Long Day Care. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of care to children aged 0-6 years, ensuring their individual needs are met within the guidelines of the National Quality Framework.

Casual positions are available across two centres based at our 2 Early Years Hubs in Knox Children and Family Centres Wantirna South and Bayswater. 

This is a BAND 3 to BAND 4 KCC classified role. With a casual rate of between $40.66 - $46.70 per hour (depending on experience & qualification) plus superannuation in line with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will need to thrive

The key selection criteria for this role are:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with adults and children;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive working relationships;
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services;
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality Education and Care programs;
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant regulations, frameworks and legislation applicable to the role.

The Early Years Hubs (Knox Children and Family Centres Wantirna South and Bayswater) are innovative, state of the art, purpose-built facilities where our teams work in a multi-agency way with a focus on providing high-quality early years services in the community, supporting families and nurturing the learning and development of children. The services provided within the hubs include Long Day Care, Kindergarten, Maternal Child Health and Playgroup. We have well-maintained and spacious staff facilities, and free on-site parking.
