About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Fleet Management Team in a modern and well-equipped workshop. The main purpose of this role is to maintain Council plant & equipment to a level that will allow for maximum use, while remaining in a safe & road worthy condition. Council will supply you with all required tools, a work uniform and a 9 day fortnight. This role reports to Council's Workshop Supervisor and is part of a team of 4 people.
This is a full-time permanent role based at our Operations Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 4 classified role, remuneration will be $71,212.94- $75,849.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Able to work on a wide range of plant & equipment.
- Ability to self manage when required.
- Experience with fabrication & welding practices.
- Familiarity with machine and hand tools i.e., grinders, power tools, air tools, etc.
- Understanding of safe work practices.
- Personal values and behaviors aligned to those of Knox City Council.
