As an Early Years Support Officer working for Knox, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of administrative support to the early years program team and service.

What you will need to thrive

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience and skills in administration and/or customer service.
  • Knowledge of the broad issues impacting on the Family and Children’s services sector.
  • Proficiency in a range of computer applications, operating systems, online databases and social media platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, use initiative, and be able to work unsupervised.
  • Demonstrated ability to priorities and organise own workload to meet deadlines and competing demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively and positively participate in the process of change management.

The expertise you bring (including qualifications and experience)

  • Certificate IV in Administration and/or previous experience in a similar administrative position.
  • Current certificates in Anaphylaxis, EPI Pen, Emergency Asthma Management, CPR and First Aid (Desirable).
  • Current Mandatory Reporting certificate.
  • Previous experience in Early Years Services in Local Government (Desirable).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office programs and relevant programs (QikKids desirable).
  • Ability to work in a busy and changing environment amid competing demands
  • Ability to obtain a working with children check.

This is a full-time permanent role based at Knox Children and Family Centre Bayswater.  Remuneration for this role will be under Band 4 of the Knox City Council Enterprise Agreement with a salary range of $71,212.94 to $75,849.47, per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
