Sessional Kindergarten, Part-Time Diploma Educator Role Available (fixed term)

  • Early Childhood Educator – Diploma ($27.30 to $28.12, per hour) - this is fixed term role (until the end of the kinder year) working four days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11:00am - 2:00pm each day.

We are seeking a dedicated Diploma Qualified Educator for a lunch cover role in our Sessional Kindergarten program offered at Knox City Council’s Children and Family Centre in Bayswater.

As a Diploma Qualified Educator you'll enjoy the support of a passionate and positive leadership and be required to work collaboratively to provide high quality early childhood education and care, meeting the individual needs and interests of children and families.

Our Sessional Kindergarten staff are employed under the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020 ('EEEA 2020') in line with the Victorian School Term dates.  

The successful applicant will possess appropriate qualifications, excellent communication skills, proven customer service skills, and a Working With Children Check. 

This is a EEEA Diploma Level 2.1 to 2.3 classified role, remuneration will be $54,144 to $55,760 per annum based on experience (pro rata for part-time) for 46/52, plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing child-centred and innovative Education and Care programs
  • Understanding of the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and current Regulations
  • Understanding of the Child Safe Standards and current reforms
  • Current Working with Children Check and agreement to undergo a Police Check
  • Current Level 2 First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis Management and CPR Certificate
  • A positive and curious mind with a passion for working in Early Childhood!
