About the role 

As our Senior Digital Development Lead, you will lead the redevelopment of the KnoxBiz website and the automation of the Business Permit process on behalf of the Economic Development team. The role focuses on ensuring digital solutions align with Council and Economic Development priorities, while improving customer experience and service efficiency for local businesses. Key responsibilities include engaging and managing external consultants, collaborating with key internal Council departments, and working closely with local businesses to inform the design, content and functionality of both the KnoxBiz website and the Business Permit process.

This is a part time temporary specialist role based at Knox City Council in Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $110,732.77 (pro rata for part-time), plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of complex digital projects, including website redevelopment and digital service automation, within a public sector or similar organisational context.
  • Demonstrated experience in procuring, managing and coordinating external consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality digital outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement and governance requirements, including demonstrated experience managing short-term contracts within a local government or public sector context.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of ePathway or similar systems used in local government is desirable.
  • A degree or tertiary qualification in digital, communications, business, project management, information technology or a related field, combined with relevant experience.
