About the role

We are looking for a proactive and community-focused Leisure Services Officer to join our Active & Creative Communities team on a temporary full-time basis.
In this role, you will support the effective planning, management and activation of Council's sporting reserve facilities, working closely with sporting and leisure clubs, community groups and the broader community. You will also contribute to the delivery of sport and leisure capital works projects.
This is a full-time temporary role based at Knox Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring the operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 5 classified role. Remuneration will be $83,593.07 to $97,258.47 (depending on experience) (pro rata for part-time/fixed term) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will bring to this role
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Coordinate seasonal and annual licence agreements with community groups, clubs and organisations using Council facilities.
- Build relationships with participants, community groups and internal stakeholders to support inclusive participation.
- Monitor program performance and prepare reports to improve service delivery.
- Support venue bookings, facility operations and day-to-day coordination across the team.
- Experience in leisure, recreation or community services.
- Ability to plan and deliver community-facing programs or events.
- Strong interpersonal skills with confidence engaging diverse communities and partners.
- Sound administration skills, including experience with booking systems or reporting tools.
