 Part time temporary positions for the 2025 school year

Applicants must: 

• hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
• comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment
   

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following criteria: 

• a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
• experience in working with children with special needs, including children on the autistic spectrum
• awareness of the needs of students with diagnosed allergies and training in the use of EpiPen
• ability to successfully implement programs and document progress regarding individual and/or small group support
• preparedness to undergo further training in aiding children with special needs
• experience in working collaboratively with teaching staff in a classroom environment

In addition to the above, the vision impairment specialist teachers aide must also demonstrate:

• Proven experience working with students with vision impairments, including implementing inclusive practices in educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of assistive technologies, such as screen readers, magnification tools, and other adaptive devices commonly used by vision-impaired students.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Understanding of orientation and mobility strategies specific to the needs of students with vision impairments.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
• Relevant qualifications in special education, support work, or vision impairment support are highly regarded.
